Stage 1: Skeleton Baste (First Fitting)
The garment is temporarily held together with white basting thread without facings, pockets, or lining. The master cutter checks shoulder slope, chest balance, back drape, and overall jacket length.
Stage 2: Forward Baste (Second Fitting)
Pockets, facings, and one sleeve are basted into place. The cutter evaluates sleeve pitch, collar snugness, waist suppression, and trouser break.
Stage 3: Finishes & Final Delivery Fitting
The garment is fully assembled, hand-stitched, and pressed. The client tries on the finished piece for final sign-off and digital balance clearance.
2. Digital Alteration Markups & Workshop Routing
During a trial fitting, the cutter marks adjustments using chalk and pins. In a modern workflow, these marks are immediately photographed and logged into the software with numerical delta notes (e.g. "Raise right shoulder by 3/8 inch; suppress waist by 1/2 inch total").
This ensures that when the garment returns to the stitching floor, the artisan receives clear, unambiguous instructions rather than relying on loose paper chalk tags that can fall off.
3. Automated Customer Appointment Reminders
